Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
Ha, fuck yes. Omg. I just can’t describe these feelings right now.
The sceen when the subject 16 saved Desmond from being deleted was… incredible awesome. The cinematic when they entered Altair’s library. How the scene changed from Altair to Ezio again. And then the moment when Desmond wakes up and just said…
Omg. Just incredible. I mean… the script and story are surely a masterpiece. The gameplay however was not that different from the previous games.
Sadly the whole Assassin’s Creed Lineage Embers stuff was not part of Revelations (probably just to save Ubisoft some extra cash…). However the book covers Ezios life after the happenings of Revelations. In my opinion it should just be part of the game as well, since Altairs life and death were part of the game series as well.
As for the last few hours of gameplay:
THEY DID IT AGAIN! THEY FUCKING KILLED MY FAVE CHARACTER.
Just how the fuck came up with the idea “hey, let’s just kill some incredible awesome minor characters!
“
I was always suspicious of Yusuf but in the end he died trying to safe Sofia.
He was a good man, a loyal fighter and … funny. DAMNIT.

I didn’t really bother about the side missions this time. Like all the guilds. when ever I saw a chance I tried. But some stuff was just too bothersome. Like flying from the Galaca tower to the Haliç. I tried but it didn’t work.
Did anyone else has so many bugs and wrongly spawned guards in their rooftops?
Like da fuq. And when I tried hitting them they went off like when you deflate a balloon and let it go. It was hilarious – they literally vanished into air!
Oh and the part where Ezio played the lute and sung about Rodrigo and Cesare. Hilarious!

The part in the Cappadocia Caves was … just wow. Judging from the fact that I hardly managed to escape. Well I had no medicine anymore and the smoke was hurting your health… Oh and yeah, Ezio, I think you almost killed an entire city with that fire. Congratulation.
The credit music was amazing and the Animus Island was cool too.
As for my Sync… I have 96/100 Memory Fragments. The option to play those first person levels of Desmonds Memories were cool. Even though I’m really bad with first person perspective. I managed to do all! HA! And I got that Ishak Pasha Armor. But I’m going for the Master Assassin Armor too…. Those boys and girls just need more training. Other than that I have 79% of the city rebuild. Just need to renovate the sights and mosques.
Not bad for the first try.
I didn’t really get the part that when you buy weapons or books there is this little note that says like “-15% *assassins symbol here*”. Does that mean your influence decreases if you buy a fucking book?
And I really still don’t really know what all the parties are. Like Byzantines and Ottomans.
Oh well in total I’d say the game was great. Even though the gameplay itself didn’t amaze me that much. Sure, the bombs and the hook blade were new and useful and the setting was new and quite stunning. But after all, all I can really give a thumb up for is the story and the cinematics. The way they placed the cameras and story events.
As for the future I hope this game series keeps developing and refining the minor skills even more. The storytelling, after all, is the most important thing to me in a game. The story kind of gets pushed away by all the other stuff and activities you can do in Assassin’s Creed. But it’s getting better.
I’m still not sure if I should look forward to AC III or rather roll my eyes at it. They really put some effort into the new environment and interacting with the environment, but I am more concerned about the general “procedure” of the game. There sure are fans that gonna buy it non the less. Let’s just hope for the best.
What is a man but the sum of his memories?
We are the stories we live! The tales we tell ourselves!
